Zehra is a trained actress and singer of British, Australian and Indian heritage. Some of her recent voice work includes the lead role of ‘Bonnie Blueberry’ in the hit animated American TV series, Rainbow Rangers on Nick Jnr. Other recent work includes the video game franchise Warhammer and the animation series Ninja Express. Zehra also voiced a national commercial for Precision1 Contact Lenses in Australia. She can be heard as the voice of What3Words, a SatNav system for Tata Motors in India.
Zehra's acting career has spanned stage and screen, including the lead role in the Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical ‘Bombay Dreams’ as well as performing in Olivier Award winning musicals such as ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ at the Donmar Warehouse and ‘South Pacific’ at the National Theatre to Bollywood feature films and a guest lead in Holby City.
The voice-over bug took hold when she was cast as a guest lead in two ‘Dr Who’ radio plays for BBC Big Finish Productions. Since 2013 when she set up her home studio she has been in constant demand. In particular her flair for audio-books means she has narrated almost 100 titles to date. Recently she was nominated for an Audie award for the novel, ‘You Bring the Distant Near’ by Mitali Perkins.
Zehra is in constant demand voicing everything from audiobooks to TV commercials, corporate voice-over projects and charity campaigns to animation, gaming and singing projects.
Her voice is often described by clients as as bubbly, warm, youthful and energetic as well as compassionate, informative and authentic.
Zehra’s mixed British/Indian/Australian heritage gives her a unique and authentic versatility allowing her to work as a truly international voice-over artist with clients across the globe.
