Kathryn Akin

Kathryn is a highly experienced and versatile American voice artist working across all fields of the UK industry. From playing badass female villains, historical figures or sympathetic therapists in video games like The Surge 2, the Assassin's Creed series or Dead By Daylight to reading the poems of Robert Frost on BBC Radio 4, from voicing the time travel computer for Alex Rider in Stormbreaker or redubbing the real life Mrs. Scorsese in Gangs of New York, to selling cutting edge technology for companies like Deloitte and Nokia - she is a very skilled actress up for any challenge.

Her ear catching commercials and promos include work for Unilever, American Airlines, Sony, Phillips, Focus Features, Barclays, BBC Radio and many more.

In the corporate world, Kathryn is known for her clear, engaging voice for clients including Nokia, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, Strongbow and Gucci.

Gaming credits include leading mocap characters/voices in Crysis WarheadSurge 2Horizon Zero Dawn and multiple games for the Assassin’s Creed series. More recent gaming credits include Dead By Daylight, Star Wars Hunters, Lightyear Frontier, Hercule Poirot: The London Case, Battlefield 2042, King's Bounty 2 and The Alters.

She can be heard playing the young, old and whacky in animations such as the feature Planet 51 and The Moonkeys children’s series.

Audiobooks and documentaries include James Patterson’s scintillating Honeymoon for Isis Audio and Barbara Gowdy’s heartbreaking Helpless for BBC Radio 4 plus many documentaries for Discovery and PBS on a range of subjects.

Kathryn is an award nominated stage actress with multiple West End credits, who has also played leading roles at theatres like the Bristol Old Vic, the Traverse Theatre, Leeds Playhouse, Dundee Rep, and the Lyric Hammersmith. On screen she has been seen in The Cambridge Spies for the BBC, in many Discovery TV productions about important American events, in the feature films Mamma Mia! Here We Go AgainBarbie and Disney's upcoming Snow White.
