Karen Ascoe

Karen trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her career as an actress and voice over artist has spanned TV, film, theatre, radio, musicals and commercials. Recent voice credits include: TV campaigns for Hachette/Disney, TV documentaries (Witness to a Massacre - Nanjing 1937), Video games (Dragon’s Dogma 2Watchdogs: Legion & Hitman 3), Animation projects (Warhammer Interrogator) and audio books (Below the Green - children’s fantasy adventure series).

Karen’s theatre work has taken her all over the UK, and all over the world, including several West End shows and New York productions. Recent credits include playing Rufa Philby, the Russian wife of Cambridge spy Kim Philby in A Splinter of Ice, the misanthropic Patricia Highsmith in the powerful two-hander Switzerland and Gertrude in Hamlet, with Freddie Fox.

Recent TV work includes Mawaan Rizwan’s six-part comedy series Juice and the adaptation of Mo Hayder’s powerful thriller, Wolf both due to be released in 2023. Other TV includes W1A, Peep Show and Cuckoo.
