Karen trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her career as an actress and voice over artist has spanned TV, film, video games, animations, theatre, radio drama, musicals and commercials.

Recent voice credits include TV campaigns for Hachette/Disney, TV documentaries (Witness to a Massacre - Nanjing 1937), video games – Dragon’s Dogma 2, Watchdogs: Legion, Hitman 3, animation – Warhammer Interrogator and audio books – Below the Green (children’s fantasy adventure series).

On TV in 2025 Karen can be seen as Mary Burkeman in Paramount Plus series The Crow Girl, FBI International and ITV’s Grace. Other TV credits include W1A, Peep Show & Cuckoo.

Karen’s theatre work has taken her all over the UK and all over the world, including several West End shows and New York productions. Recent credits include playing Rufa Philby, the Russian wife of Cambridge spy Kim Philby in A Splinter of Ice, the misanthropic Patricia Highsmith in the powerful two-hander Switzerland and Gertrude in Hamlet, with Freddie Fox.
