Gavin started performing when he was 14 years of age and became professional at the age of 16. After leaving school Gavin could be seen performing around the North West in clubs and road shows. Immediately after leaving school he gained a full part on Channel 4s Brookside soap, playing the part of Gary Mitchell. After theatre productions of Macbeth (Donalbain), Talent (performer) and a brief stint on Coronation Street as the lad who stole Kevin Websters job, Gavin auditioned for a show being produced by Bill Kenwright and the legendary Jack Good (Oh Boy, 6-5 Special, Shindig) and after singing Wondrous Place he gained the role of Billy Fury.

Next up Gavin was again asked to play Billy Fury in a Radio 4 play about his life. Another Bill Kenwright production followed Ferry Cross The Mersey in which gavin played the young Gerry Marsden. It was a nice moment for Gavin as the real Gerry Marsden was actually in the show and they both sang Youll Never Walk Alone together at the end of the show. A big plus for Gavin who is a big Liverpool FC fan!

Gavin then concentrated on his own music and for five years was involved in a band called Pool who got signed, released an album and three singles gaining international recognition and radio plays.
A single for Liverpool FC followed called Liverpool Attack, attack, Attack which was released and went to the top 20 in the Indie Charts.

Gavin has recently performed as Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, Dion and Paul McCartney in numerous theatre productions. He is also a successful voice over artist and you may have heard his voice on advert such as Bisto, The Army and The Times.
